I lived in NY for over a decade and I will always consider myself a New Yorker. Because of this I have a rule: If I can't walk 10+ blocks in shoes, or run to catch the bus, then I can't buy them. Thankfully I also love flats. I think I have maybe two pairs of heels in regular rotation. Most days you will find me in a similar version of black flats. I love black flats with a little detail. (Confession, my whole wardrobe is filled with things that are "black with a little detail.") Loeffler Randall loafers are a current standby these days. Of course with studs all over. I also have loved Sigerson Morrison ballet flats since I was a shoe buyer at Bloomingdale's. And the recent trends of Flatbed Sandals/Birkenstocks and Athletic Shoes "dressed up" makes my feet do a happy dance.
Loeffler Randall Blaise Stud Loafers...my everyday standby. The right amount of edge for any outfit.
Wearing flats like these for a day shopping are perfect. 1) Your feet will be comfortable enough to get over 10,000 steps in and 2) easy on and easy off for trying on clothes and shoes.
**Random Fact About Me: "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" by Nancy Sinatra was the song for my Senior Fashion Show Collection at Syracuse University. What can I say, I've always been a fashion girl on the go!
